What is it?
Black Country Children’s is a site for parents, carers and other professionals to access universal advice, including top tips and activities, to support a child’s development of communication skills.
Why is it?
If parents/carers have any concerns with their child’s communication skills they can access the site as a ‘first step’ for advice and signposting to strategies without the need for a referral for Speech and Language Therapy support.
What it does?
After following the universal advice, parents can contact the relevant Black Country SLT service for further support if required. In addition to the universal strategies, advice and contact details of local children’s SLT services; the website signposts parents/carers to National websites that give advice for specific concerns such as stammering.
